Mr. Ian So joined Kum Shing as the General Manager – Commercial & Contracting in 2023. He was also appointed as the Head of the Commercial Function in 2024. He is responsible for contract administration and the commercial aspects of civil and joint venture projects.

Before joining Kum Shing, he held various senior management positions in several construction companies in Hong Kong, accumulating over 25 years of experience in the field of major public infrastructure.

Ian is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Construction Management from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University. He is a Professional Member of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), a Member of The Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (CICES), a Professional Quantity Surveyor of The Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (CIQS), a Member of The Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (AIQS), an Associate Member of The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), and a Certified NEC Professional of CICES.
