Taking advantage of the extensive experiences accumulated through working closely with CLP Power and Hong Kong Electric, Kum Shing has developed advanced skills and technologies in electrical engineering involving transformer, switchgear and automation control systems. In addition to strengthening its transmission and distribution substation services for the two power companies, we provide competitive construction and maintenance services to MTRC to support its building of new rail lines and operation of existing railway system. We also serve government works departments such as Drainage Services Department (DSD), Water Supplies Department (WSD), and Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD) through providing comprehensive solutions involving design and equipment supply, installation, testing & commissioning.

Experienced in Power Stations

Kum Shing has also accumulated extensive heavy industrial plant maintenance experience from providing services to power stations. We participated in major plant modification projects such as the Emission Control Project which aim at helping Hong Kong to reach its carbon emission reduction targets. In addition to managing works on large scale boilers and mills, we are also strong in the capability to complete steam and water pipeline installation works that involves specialized high-pressure welding technology. We have a world class team of scaffolders available to effectively construct the needed metal support structure to meet the client’s project requirements. Other relevant experiences include working on waste treatment facilities and solar energy projects.
