School Construction Contract in Fanling North New Development Area

Our joint venture, led by W.Hing Construction, has been awarded a contract by the Architectural Services Department to build a new primary school in Area 17 of the Fanling North New Development Area. The school will feature 30 classrooms, a library, a sports ground, and other modern educational facilities to meet the growing demand for public primary school places driven by population growth in the area.

Kum Shing started its construction engineering business in the 1980s. To deliver this project, our civil and building team will work closely with the joint venture partners, adopting in-situ reinforced concrete construction combined with advanced Modular Integrated Construction (MiC) technology. This approach will enhance efficiency and quality, while ensuring site safety and minimising environmental impact.

The Fanling North New Development Area, a key component of the Northern Metropolis, is envisioned as a “Riverside Community” along the Ng Tung River. Upon full development, it will accommodate approximately 95,000 additional residents and create over 14,000 job opportunities. Beyond our contributions to power and transport infrastructure, we are proud to help shape the future of the Northern Metropolis through our building works.
