Kum Shing’s Participation at the Belt and Road Summit, Experience Sharing on Green Infrastructure and Sustainability
Co-organized by the HKSAR Government and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the 9th Belt and Road Summit was successfully held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The Belt and Road (B&R) Summit is a premier international platform for promoting business collaboration along the B&R, gathering senior government officials and business leaders from countries and regions along and beyond the B&R to exchange insights on multilateral cooperation and explore concrete business opportunities.
Mr. Rex Wong, JP, CEO of Kum Shing, had the privilege to take part in the thematic breakout session themed ‘Charting Green Development for a Connected World’, representing the construction industry. He was also invited as one of the speakers and shared the role of Hong Kong in the B&R Initiative as a participant and a contributor to green infrastructure development, using the green infrastructure projects that Kum Shing has participated in as examples. This included the Waste-to-Energy Chemical Waste Treatment Centre DBO Project for EPD, Black Point Power Station D1 & D2 Projects for CLP, Consultancy Services for Undergrounding Overhead Power Lines at Bangkok, Engineering Consultancy Services in Macau, and Consultancy for Power Supply for a Property Development in Nansha.
To assist in the implementation of the B&R Initiative, Kum Shing will continue with our leading capabilities in project management, quality delivery, operation efficiency, advanced systems, as well as bringing our experience to the Greater Bay Area. We also actively participate in the ecosystem to drive sustainability development, with the aim of building a brighter future with our industry partners.
