Industry Recognition with Three Safety Awards

The kick-off ceremony and conference of the Construction Safety Week 2024 co-organized by the Development Bureau, Hong Kong SAR Government and the Construction Industry Council (CIC) was successfully held. CEO of Kum Shing Mr. Rex Wong, JP attended the event in his capacity as the Chairperson of the Committee on Construction Safety of CIC. He officiated the ceremony with Ms. Bernadette Linn, JP, the Secretary for Development, Mr. Ricky Lau, JP, the Permanent Secretary for Development (Works), and Ir Professor Thomas Ho, the Chairman of CIC, sharing their insights on the application of the Smart Site Safety System (4S) and other innovative solutions.

Kum Shing received three awards in the Life First 2024 campaign, the Process and Plant Team was glad to receive the “Frontline Team Safety Performance” Silver Award and the “Walk the Talk – Synergy in Safety” Bronze Award for the “Lamma Power Station Re-provision of Open Cycle Gas Turbine” Project. The Power Systems Department also won the “Walk the Talk – Synergy in Safety” Merit Award for the “Distribution Trenching (WER)” Project. These awards not only showcase our commitment to safety, but also earn recognition for our efforts from the industry.
