First Turnout Installation Works at Tung Chung Line Extension

Last Saturday night, Kum Shing’s Electrical & Mechanical team successfully completed rail bonding cable installation works during the initial turnout installation for the major track diversion under the Tung Chung Line Extension project for MTR. The change over arrangements organized by MTR and the cooperation of passengers ensured the smooth completion of the tasks.

The works at Tung Chung East Station involve the diversion of the existing 1.2km of operating track between the existing Sunny Bay Station and Tung Chung Station. Kum Shing is primarily responsible for the electrical installations and conducts cable installation works during the four turnout installations on the operating tracks of the Tung Chung Line.

Kum Shing remains committed to making significant contributions to the railway development in Hong Kong.
