Modification Works for Locomotives in Pat Heung Depot and Tai Wai Depot Project

Locomotives play an essential role in the hauling of engineering wagons. It is critically important for engineering work for the MTR’s track maintenance which takes place every night. Kum Shing Electrical & Mechanical Team responsible for MTR projects are leading teams to handle the modification works for 16 locomotives taking place in Pat Heung Depot and Tai Wai Depot. The project aims to enhance performance of parking brake of the locomotives, making sure the locomotives operate in the Tuen Ma Line where a newly opened section has a steep gradient.
