“Life First” Gold Award for Lamma Power Station Project

Kum Shing’s project team was honoured with the Gold Award for Construction Site Welfare and Facilities for Workers at the Construction Safety Week 2025, jointly organised by the Development Bureau and the Construction Industry Council. The recognition was awarded for outstanding site management in the Lamma Power Station – Complete Erection, Inspection, Testing & Commissioning of Open Cycle Gas Turbines Re-Provision Project.

Our Process and Plant engineering team is responsible for the demolition of three existing gas turbine units and the construction of new units at the Lamma Power Station for HK Electric.  The new units will enhance the reliability of power generation and reduce carbon emissions. This award affirms the project’s performance in health and safety management and acknowledges the team’s commitment to caring for the physical and mental well-being of site workers. It is a reminder of the value of putting people first and a meaningful encouragement for all involved.
