Award of Towngas Network Upgrade Contract

Kum Shing has been awarded a new contract by the Hong Kong and China Gas Company to upgrade pipelines in Tsuen Wan, Kwai Tsing, and Tsing Yi, enhancing the safety and reliability of the gas supply network across these districts. The upgrade replaces aging steel pipelines with advanced uPVC pipes using electrofusion fitting technology, which creates strong, seamless joints that effectively reduce the risk of leakage.

Despite the tight schedule and the challenge of managing dozens of site locations, our civil & building team, leveraging extensive experience in road and pipeline works, is committed to ensuring smooth execution of installation, jointing, testing, and commissioning. To minimize disruption to the community, we will also adopt sleeve and tunnelling construction methods during construction.
