Kum Shing is founded as a civil and building contractor and is traditionally known for its broad range of roads and drainage works across different areas of Hong Kong. Today, KS focuses in developing a strong presence in tunneling services through open and underground excavation. In order to provide an alternative solution to minimize the impact of constructing and maintaining the city’s underground utility infrastructure in sensitive areas, KS is strengthening its trenchless capabilities through acquisition of tunnel boring machines and training up a full team of technicians and operators under the leadership of qualified engineers. Aside from the two power companies, KS actively provides comprehensive services to Towngas and Drainage Services Department.
