    To support the government’s net-zero goal and contribute to the development of a sustainable smart city, Kum Shing actively develops green and renewable energy initiatives, such as participation in carbon reduction projects like the Waste-to-Energy Projects. On the consumer front, we provide cost-effective solutions such as PV (photovoltaic solar panels), BESS (Battery Energy Storage System), and EV (electric vehicle) charging services to promote a greener world.

    In 2021, Kum Shing became the first Hong Kong enterprise to receive accreditation for power engineering services in the Greater Bay Area.

  • 2011 – 2020

    Corporation with All-rounded Businesses

    Leveraging our expertise in various engineering disciplines, Kum Shing has actively participated in energy and environmental infrastructures projects, such as D1 and Chemical Waste Treatment Centre, and the maintenance of public lighting throughout Hong Kong. Additionally, Kum Shing has been involved in all MTR lines in Hong Kong, and developed a residential project in the Mainland.

    Kum Shing was listed as the Approved Contractor for Public Works in Roads & Drainage (Group C), and the first construction company to win the HKMA Quality Gold Award.

  • 1998 – 2010

    The Birth of Kum Shing Group with Multidisciplinary Engineering Expertise

    Kum Shing Group was formally established, incorporating Kum Shing (K.F.) Construction Company Limited, Kum Shing Engineering Company Limited, and Kum Shing E & M Limited., offering multidisciplinary EPC (Engineering Procurement Construction) and turnkey services. With a reputation for quality service, Kum Shing gained the trust of its clients and fostered close cooperative relationships with CLP, HK Electric, and the Highways Department of the HKSAR Government.

    Kum Shing became the only enterprise in Hong Kong providing comprehensive engineering services from generation, transmission, distribution to utilization.

  • 1985 – 1997

    Established as Main Contractor

    Kum Shing actively expanded its scale in civil and building engineering, with a proven track record in private residential and institutional properties, including the To Fung Shan Lutheran Theological Seminary in Shatin. Additionally, Kum Shing become an RGBC (Registered General Building Contractor) and one of the main contractors for CLP.

  • 1963 – 1984

    Kum Shing was Founded

    Mr. KF Wong, BBS, MH founded Kum Shing in 1963. With the support from Ir Dr. Peter K.K. Wong, GBS, JP, Kum Shing focused on sub-contracting minor civil works, specializing in cable trenching and substations, and gradually expanded to public lighting and electrical installation projects.
