Ir CHENG Wai Kin Eddie
Ir Eddie Cheng joined Kum Shing as Deputy Director in 2021. He is currently responsible for managing and executing various electrical and mechanical projects with the aim of enhancing the Corporate’s capabilities and expertise, as well as exploring and developing further opportunities in the railway and related markets.
Prior to joining Kum Shing, Eddie held several senior managerial and technical positions in the Mass Transit Railway Corporation Limited. With expertise in rolling stock, railway, and E&M systems, Eddie has accumulated over 23 years of experience leading and managing multiple new railway and extension projects in both Hong Kong and Beijing.
Eddie holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Hong Kong. He is a Chartered Engineer and a fellow member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (FIMechE) and the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (FHKIE). He is also a member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (MIET) and the Safety and Reliability Society (MSaRS). Since 2007, he has been appointed as a railway expert by the Shenzhen Construction Bureau and currently holds the qualification of an NEC 4 accredited Project Manager.
